The Love You Don’t Need

“what usually goes by the name love in popular culture is not authentic love at all; it’s a deadly fraud.” – John Macarthur

What usually goes by the name of LOVE in popular culture is SELF INDULGENCE…lust, laziness, glutony, disobiedence, rebellion; all mascarade as love …as well as many self sacrificing behaviors that stem for mental health issues, Martha cleaned and cooked while Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, then she was mad because Mary did not come to help her…Martha wanted to show love by serving or was she serving to satisfy some need in herself to show she was a good person…Jesus felt it would have been better for her to have not judged Mary and her complaints of no help was an indication that there was jealousy toward Mary for being with Jesus Martha could have loved Jesus more and attended to him ….point being it is not just this generation or popular culture that is confused as to what authentic love really is. If Christians spent more time setting examples of real love and less time judging and pointing, there would be more examples of real love to emuate. Point to what to follow, point to how to behave from present day examples, then the bushel baskets would be removed from true Christians lights. All WE NEED IS LOVE….This beatles song may have referred to an unauthentic love….but all things work for good to those who believe in Jesus Only Jesus is that love! Amen
